Outreach and Communication
How does your hospital encourage and seek out minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers?
Our organization does not actively seek out businesses of the above listed groups, we base our business selections off of our GPO supplier, and during shortages off of whatever suppliers we are able to get what we need.
How does your hospital encourage its employees involved in procurement to seek out minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers?
We only encourage our employees to seek out companies that are on our contracts, we don't have a policy nor do we actively seek our suppliers with these classification.
How does your hospital conduct outreach and communication to minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises?
We don't conduct outreach to these groups. Our hospital is happy to purchase products from any GPO compliant business but expect those businesses to become GPO compliant and reach out to us.

5. Other Relevant Information
We as a company don't actively seek suppliers of any kind, but rather rely on our GPO to provide us with quality goods through contracts with different vendors. We'd be more than happy to purchase from organizations that fit within the mold listed in the previous questions. However we don't have the bandwidth as a small hospital to reach out to suppliers directly. We like the idea of this reporting, but think it would be more beneficial for all parties if instead of hospitals, large medical suppliers (such as Medline) and GPO's were to report this information, it might create a more meaningful impact for all parties involved.
