Supplier Diversity Policy Statement
POLICY Mammoth Hospital is committed to supporting the local community by contracting with underserved minority businesses. Traditional underrepresented businesses will include small businesses, minority-owned business enterprises, women-owned business enterprises, disadvantaged and veteran-owned businesses. PROCEDURE A. Purchasing Department will participate with local initiatives in order to maintain awareness of resources offered by diversity suppliers. B. Purchasing Department will encourage and support diversity suppliers to meet with strategic sourcing staff to review product/service specifications, and review supplier qualifications including licenses, certification and insurance requirements as appropriate. C. Purchasing Department will develop a listing of local businesses who have certified as owned and/or operated by individuals or groups that are part of the traditionally underrepresented supplier community. D. Purchasing Department will encourage departments to explore opportunities to include and utilize diversity suppliers to compete for business and from whom to obtain goods and services whenever possible.

We work with Adventist health and our GPO to help guide us to vendors who can meet our needs. If they fit in this category and meet the needs of our providers and patients they are given priority.
