How does your hospital encourage and seek out minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers?
A. The PVHMC Supply Chain will participate with local initiatives in order to maintain awareness of resources offered by diversity suppliers. B. The Supply Chain Department includes a Vendor Diversity Self Identification Questionnaire with all bid documents to provide an opportunity for competing vendors to identify their diversity status. C. The Supply Chain Director speaks at local chamber of commerce events and shares the pathway to become an approved vendor. These discussions include educating members and attendees how Healthcare purchasing structures are built and work, we discusses potential areas of opportunity. The Supply Chain Director encourages and assists in facilitating traditionally underrepresented vendor and supplier groups to become approved vendors for PVHMC.
How does your hospital encourage its employees involved in procurement to seek out minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers?
A. The Supply Chain will develop a listing of local businesses owned and/or operated by individuals or groups that are part of the traditionally underrepresented supplier community to include but not limited to, minority, woman, LGBTQ and disabled veteran owned businesses. B. The Supply Chain Team uses our Vizient GPO website as a resource for identifying opportunities to contract with and source from minority, women, LGBT, veteran and disabled veteran enterprises.

A. The Supply Chain encourages departments to explore opportunities to include and utilize diversity suppliers to compete for business and from whom to obtain goods and services whenever possible. B. The Supply Chain encourages departments to utilize the listing of businesses owned and/or operated by individuals or groups that are part of the traditionally underrepresented supplier community to include but not limited to, local, minority, women, LGBTQ and disabled veteran owned businesses.

The PVHMC recognizes diversity designations from multiple different entities on our Diversity Questionnaire thus advertising and supporting their authority.
