Supplier Diversity Policy Statement

PURPOSE To set forth the ways in which St. Rose Hospital will promote supplier diversity and explore opportunities to identify and utilize certified minority, women, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and disabled veteran business enterprises to provide supplies necessary for the operation of St. Rose Hospital. This policy will constitute St. Rose Hospital’s Supplier Diversity Policy Statement and will be submitted to the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) in accordance with Health & Safety Code § 1339.87. POLICY St. Rose Hospital will seek to identify and encourage the use of certified minority, women, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and disabled veteran business enterprises as suppliers for St. Rose Hospital. St. Rose Hospital’s Materials Management Department will conduct outreach efforts, including, without limitation, those described below, to identify and encourage the utilization of certified minority, women, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and disabled veteran business enterprises.

St. Rose Hospital will provide written information about the website link and opportunities with St. Rose Hospital to community organizations that support and regularly communicate with minority, women, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and disabled veteran business enterprises.

How does your hospital encourage its employees involved in procurement to seek out minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers?

St. Rose Hospital encourages department managers, staff to identify opportunities to work with certified minority, women, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and disabled veteran business enterprises. Provide recommendations to materials management department for further process.

How does your hospital conduct outreach and communication to minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises?

St. Rose Hospital conduct outreach efforts to certified minority, women, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and disabled veteran business enterprises by, among other things: developed a link on website (www.strosehospital.org) which allows certified minority, women, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and disabled veteran business enterprises to review the qualifications that will be reviewed by St. Rose Hospital’s Materials Management Department and to register as a potential supplier for St. Rose Hospital. St. Rose Hospital’s Materials Management Department will review information submitted by interested and certified minority, women, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and disabled veteran business enterprises in an effort to identify potential opportunities to work with such enterprises and will, as necessary, speak with representatives of such enterprises.
