How does your hospital encourage and seek out minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers?

Barton Health will participate with local initiatives and evaluate opportunities to purchase goods and services from certified and non-certified underrepresented businesses and suppliers in order to maintain awareness of resources offered by diversity suppliers. Barton Health will encourage and support local and underrepresented businesses and suppliers to meet with Barton’s strategic sourcing staff to review product/service specifications, and review supplier qualifications including licenses, certification, and insurance requirements as appropriate.

How does your hospital encourage its employees involved in procurement to seek out minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers?

Barton Health and its Supply Chain department will encourage its employees and departments to explore opportunities to include and utilize local and underrepresented suppliers to compete for business and from whom to obtain goods and services whenever possible.

How does your hospital conduct outreach and communication to minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises?

Barton Health and its Supply Chain department will review with its group purchasing organization (GPO) a list of underrepresented businesses owned and/or operated by individuals or groups that are part of the traditionally underrepresented supplier community on an annual basis.
