Beverly Hospital recognizes and supports the importance of having a diverse supplier base. We believe being inclusive in our procurement process for goods and services aids in strengthening our growth as well as the local economy and communities we live in and serve. Beverly Hospital will proactively include diverse business enterprises in our procurement process when possible that are competitive, clinically accepted, quality, lead-time, etc. and meets all healthcare regulation requirements.

Outreach and Communication
How does your hospital encourage and seek out minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers?
Materials Management will engage our Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) for small business and/or minority owned suppliers when possible. Our GPO has a portfolio of contracted products and services including certified small business, minority -, women, and veteran - in nearly every hospital categories available to its member base. Materials Management also has an email on Beverly website under "in the community'' for small local and/or diverse businesses to contact us for bidding considerations

Our procurement team reviews potential diverse suppliers when new procurement projects or when needs arise by looking at the GPO options and/or through the various emails we receive via the diverse supplier email

various members of our community outreach/marketing teams have memberships with local surrounding city chambers of commerce and also have host several community events
