From May through July 2024, the hospital worked with local organizations to convene focus groups and interviews with both service providers and service recipients. This outreach ensured representation from agricultural workers, civic government, labor/workforce, low-income, LGTBQ community, medically underserved, minority populations, older adults, persons with disability, substance use disorders and unhoused populations. Participating organizations included Champions Recovery Alternative Programs in Visalia, City of Tulare, Community Action Partnership of Kern, Delano Chamber of Commerce, Delano Community Leaders, Kinga Community Organization and Kings County Public Health.
