Community input was obtained from interviews with key stakeholders from community agencies and organizations that include those representing medically underserved, low-income, and/or minority populations. The community agencies and organizations included Black Health Equity Collaborative, City of Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services, SoCal Pacific Islander Community Response Team, Meals on Wheels, Long Beach Trauma Recovery Center, Mental Health America Los Angeles, Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach, TCC Family Health, City of Long Beach Office of Veteran Support and Veterans Commission, Miller Children's & Women's Hospital, Centro CHA, Century Villages at Cabrillo, Families in Good Health, Pacific Asian Counseling Services, DAYS Long Beach, Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program, The Guidance Center, CARE Program, Khmer Girls in Action, Filipino Migrant Center, United Cambodian Community of Long Beach, Long Beach Unified School District, M.O.R.E. Mothers, and Bienestar. Community listening sessions were held and engaged immigrants and refugees, Black and African American residents, LGBTQIA2S+ residents, homeless and unhoused community, veterans and disabled individuals, and Latinx residents. The vulnerable populations represented by these groups included those exposed to medical or financial risk by virtue of being uninsured, underinsured, or eligible for Medi-Cal, Medicare, racial and ethnic groups experiencing poor health outcomes, the unhoused, people identifying as LGBTQ, people with disabilities, individuals with limited English proficiency, people experiencing food insecurity, service area communities with inadequate access to clean air and safe drinking water, with an environmental California Healthy Places Index score of 36.5%.
