Community input was obtained from interviews with key stakeholders from community agencies and organizations that include those representing medically underserved, low-income, and/or minority populations. The community agencies and organizations included 211 Orange County, Access California Services, Illumination Foundation, Fountain Valley School District, Jamboree Housing Corporation, City of Fountain Valley, Mariposa Women & Family Center, Huntington Beach Fire Department, Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance, Waymakers Huntington Beach Youth Shelter, Boys & Girls Club of Huntington Beach, Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, Meals on Wheels Orange County, Orange County Rescue Mission, Alzheimer's Orange County, Vital Access Care Foundation, Center for Community Advancement, NAMI Orange County, Community Action Partnership of OC, CalOptima, Tustin Unified School District, Orange County Health Care Agency, Thrive Together OC, Casa Teresa, Radiant Health Centers, Breastfeed LA, and the City of Huntington Beach. The vulnerable populations represented by these groups included those exposed to medical or financial risk by virtue of being uninsured, underinsured, or eligible for Medi-Cal, Medicare, racial and ethnic groups experiencing poor health outcomes, the unhoused, individuals identifying as LGBTQ, people with disabilities, people with limited English proficiency, individuals and families experiencing food insecurity, service area communities with inadequate access to clean air and safe drinking water, with an environmental California Healthy Places Index score of 37.8%.
