Community input was obtained from interviews with key stakeholders from community agencies and organizations that include those representing medically underserved, low-income, and/or minority populations. The community agencies and organizations included 211 Orange County, Access California Services, Illumination Foundation, South County Outreach, Age Well Senior Services, The Lighthouse Group, Family Assistance Ministries, Jamboree Housing Corporation, Camino Health Clinic, Friendship Shelter, Inc., Shanti Orange County, Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance, Casa Youth Center, Families, Forward, Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, Meals on Wheels Orange County, Orange County Rescue Mission, Alzheimer's Orange County, Norooz Mental Health Clinic, Laguna Woods Village Social Services, NAMI Orange County, Community Action Partnership of OC, CalOptima, Tustin Unified School District, Council of Aging Southern California, South County Outreach, Orange County Health Care Agency, Saddleback College, Thrive Together OC, and Radiant Health Centers. The vulnerable populations represented by these groups included those exposed to medical or financial risk by virtue of being uninsured, underinsured, or eligible for Medi-Cal, Medicare, racial and ethnic groups experiencing poor health outcomes, the unhoused, people identifying as LGBTQ, people with disabilities, individuals with limited English proficiency, people experiencing food insecurity, service area communities with inadequate access to clean air and safe drinking water, with an environmental California Healthy Places Index score of 45.6%.
