1. Continue to increase the volume participation of diverse supplier, not only on supplies but on services as well by 1% increment annually. 2. Share our goals on Diversity Supplier throughout our organization with the intent of increasing visibility of our program. 3. Include this initiative in our marketing efforts.

1. In our purchase services and construction projects, we require our business partners to report on qualified diverse companies that they sub-contract with for our projects. 2. We continue to work with our aggregation group on their contracting initiatives related to diverse suppliers.
Please describe the methods in which your hospital resolves any issues that may limit or impede an enterprise from becoming a supplier
1. Biggest challenge is the pricing disparity of diverse suppliers compared with established big companies, especially in healthcare. 2. Another challenge is the ability of minority companies to b e able to supply the volume needed by our organization. 3. Clinical acceptability and preference is a challenge as clinicians have more experience with established big companies for healthcare supplies.

Originally, our understanding is that the Commission will require a certain percent (%) of spend towards Diverse Supplier. Is this still going to happen or have there been a change in course?

I believe funding by the Commission to credit hospitals, especially for products that diverse suppliers are more expensive, to offset the increase in spend in using Diverse Supplier.
6. Procurement Process and Certification
Please describe your hospital's procurement process
We are an IDN of 3 hospitals and about 30 clinics. Our procurement process is centralized to the corporate office using our ERP system (Meditech). We procure through requisitions and inventory replenishments. Special construction or service contracts are managed by our Biomed and/or Facility and Construction Department.
