Suppliers are chosen based on the satisfaction of our procurement and contractual goals, with strong preference shown to business that have supplier diversity programs of their own. In selecting diverse suppliers, we will ensure equal opportunity for contract bidding, provide resources on how to become a certified diverse supplier, and assist with training on healthcare compliance. We engage with suppliers through national accreditation agencies and active membership in diverse business chambers and councils. By using diverse suppliers, we bring innovation and an understanding of the unique needs of our patients that supports individuals in their healing process. These efforts maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, as well as federal, state, and local procurement regulations and programs. We require partners adhere to Kindred’s Core Values.
