The Hospital is committed to conducting procurement activities through a fair, competitive, and transparent process that supports high-quality patient care, fiscal responsibility, and regulatory compliance. We recognize the value that diverse suppliers—including women-owned, minority-owned, LGBT-owned, and disabled veteran-owned business enterprises (WBE, MBE, LGBTBE, and DVBEs)—bring to our supply chain through innovation, competition, and community engagement. The Hospital remains committed to equal opportunity, ethical procurement practices, and fostering an inclusive business environment that encourages participation from qualified suppliers of all backgrounds while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and stewardship of organizational resources.

As opportunities arise, the Hospital encourages qualified diverse businesses to participate in procurement opportunities and seeks to identify suppliers that meet our standards for quality, service, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Supplier diversity is considered alongside operational requirements, patient safety, product availability, and applicable purchasing agreements.

At this time, the Hospital has not established formal long-term procurement goals, percentage targets, timetables, or quotas for purchases from diverse business enterprises. However, we continue to evaluate opportunities to strengthen supplier diversity within our procurement practices and may expand related initiatives as resources, organizational priorities, and supply chain strategies evolve.

The Hospital remains open to identifying opportunities to broaden engagement with organizations and initiatives that support supplier diversity and will continue to evaluate practices that encourage participation from qualified diverse business enterprises in the community while ensuring responsible stewardship of healthcare resources. The City of Banning, California does not have a dedicated Diversity Commission among its official municipal departments. In alignment with the structural frameworks and recommendations set forth by the Hospital Supplier Diversity Commission (HSDC), our facility has proactively integrated the following practices into our standard procurement infrastructure: * We created our procurement policy statements to explicitly build supplier diversity goals directly into our localized strategic sourcing * We are working on a internal digital tracking systems to monitor vendor outreach, track certifications, and record demographic metrics *We are creating a work flow to regularly cross-reference prospective vendors against the statewide supplier diversity clearinghouse to actively involve certified minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran-owned business enterprises in our competitive RFP loops
