The mission of Shriners Hospitals for Children (SHC) is to provide compassionate, innovative care that improves the quality of life for children and their families. SHC strives to fulfill its mission by combining our core values of innovation, commitment, integrity, teamwork, stewardship and respect in order to ensure diverse, inclusive and ethical procurement processes for goods and services throughout the hospital system. SHC engages with many businesses, including minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises, for use in obtaining quotes and bids in connection with potential upcoming projects, or filling needs for equipment, goods and services. SHC procurement staff welcomes and encourages minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran businesses to respond to procurement opportunities at SHC.

As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, SHC has a duty to be a good steward of all funds it receives. SHC engages with its Group Purchasing Organization to review and identify diversity suppliers for products and services with a high commitment to that GPO in all supply categories @~90%.

SHC engages with its Group Purchasing Organization to review and identify diversity suppliers for products and services.
