Temecula Valley Hospital works to foster an environment of inclusion and accessibilty. Our goal is to work with regional and local diverse suppliers who are able to meet our business needs, create value, and provide competitively priced products and program offerings. The sourcing function is encouraged and supported to include diverse suppliers demonstrating these defined criteria to participate in regional and local Request for Proposal (RFP) processes. Every level of employee is encouraged to be inclusive in their day-to-day decisions when selecting the best supplier to meet the business needs.

Temecula Valley Hospital works with our GPO, Premier to assure contract spend is allocated to diverse procurement spending. For the reporting period of Jan-Dec 2024, Temecula Valley reports spend in the following diversity spending: Minority Owned: $393,576 Veteran Owned: $ 3,142 Women Owned: $63,907 Total 2024 Diversity Spend: $460,625

Longe term goals for Temecula Valley Hospital is to continue to support California Hospital Diversity business relationship opportunities as noted in our Policy statement.
3. Outreach and Communication
Please describe the methods in which the hospital encourages and seeks out both prime and subcontract suppliers from women, minority, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers
We strive to provide the best care possible to our patients and our community. Our engagement wiht the mentioned diversity groups is achieved by relying upon our diverse community to seek out and obtain these partnerships. Through sourcing locally, when possible, we have the ability to support vendors form every walk of life and equitably.

We encourage by soliciting feedback form our teams when we seek out new suppliers. Our workforce is very diverse and we communicate to them so they may refer quality suppliers to us, so we have the ability to invest in and support the communities that we serve. Additionally, in the summer of 2025 we will be implementing a Value Analysis Committee where the opportunities and quality suppliers can be vetted.

Through the partnership with our local Chamber of Commerce, governmental agencies and a social media presence we are able to reach community members from every walk of life. Through these outlets we make needs known and ask for recommendations from local agencies that can help these very diverse populations businesses' grow and flourish through partnerships with our organization.

Support and supplier resolutions are part of our outreach and communications strategies.

Within the UHS/Temecula Valley Hospital vendor credentialing process (supported through our vendor credentialing service provider GHX/Vendormate) we can identify any category that might be flagged in the vendor credentialing process and collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues that may limit or impede an enterprise from becoming a supplier.

Contracts are subject to internal and corporate contract review process. Upon contract awards, item master information will be set up in our purchasing system as applicable Purchases requisitions are submitted to our centralized purchasing department through our purchase requisition portal.
