In the short term, we are considering ways to incorporate the requirements of increasing procurement for diverse groups with our county wide procurement department.

Long term goal is to work with our county wide procurement department on how to isolate the hospitals procurement strategy and policies to abide by the requirements of AB1392.

We make every effort to abide by the recommendations made by the Supplier diversity commission, for example we have provided our spend data as requested by the commission for several years now.

We have discussed and planed on implementing all relevant recommendations by meeting with internal stakeholders and discussing how we can implement the recommendations.

Ventura County procurement services purchases for the County (and designated special districts) materials, equipment, supplies, furnishings, and other personal property. In order to provide supplies, equipment, and services at the lowest possible cost, consistent with the quality needed for the efficient performance of County activities, higher-cost items are purchased through competitive solicitation.
