Marin Health is committed to providing equal opportunity to all qualified diverse suppliers to compete and participate in the sourcing and procurement process of our healthcare organization. Creating an inclusive supply chain that recognizes and values diverse owned businesses strengthens the relationships with the communities we serve. Marin Health is a member of both Adventist Health Purchasing Group, and with Premier Group Purchasing Organization. Both have their own diversity statements as well.

How does your hospital encourage and seek out minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers?

Our supplier diversity program is designed to contribute to the economic health and reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. It includes, but is not limited to: • Implementing a collaborative supplier diversity program to meet Marin Health existing and future vendor needs. • Identifying contracting opportunities in which we ensure that diverse businesses could bid competitively while following the Marin Health vendor process. • Identifying diverse businesses to bid on opportunities throughout the company. Marin Health Supply Chain team sources all goods and services for Marin Health Medical Center. Our sourcing department identifies qualified suppliers for bid opportunities and works with those suppliers to become successful Supply Chain partners. Vendors with products and services that are potentially suitable for Marin Health are encouraged to complete a vendor profile to be considered for current and future projects.

Marin Health procurement team will always seek out diverse suppliers to participate in the contracting process. • Promotes innovation through the introduction of new products and services. • Provides alternative to the GPO solutions to procure products and services. • Drives competition between current vendor community and new vendors.

How does your hospital conduct outreach and communication to minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises?

When contracting, our contract team will seek out diverse suppliers and request this information when registering as a new vendor.
