The NHSC builds healthy communities by supporting qualified health care providers dedicated to working in areas of California and the United States where limited access to care exist.

The 2026 NHSC Scholarship Program application is now open through Thursday, April 16, 7:30 p.m. ET.
NHSC Site Application
The 2026 New Site application cycle is open. The 2026 New Site Application Cycle is open April 7, 2026, through May 19, 2026, 11:59 p.m. ET.
NHSC RECERTIFICATION APPLICATION CYCLE 2026
The National Health Service Corp (NHSC) Site Recertification opened August 18, 2026, and closes September 22, 2026.
All current NHSC sites* (except auto-approved NHSC sites) with a December 31, 2026, certification expiration date, must apply for recertification by Tuesday, September 22, 11:59 p.m. ET, to retain NHSC their site certification. Please refer to the NHSC website for steps to complete site recertification.
