California has taken significant steps to expand its behavioral health workforce with investments of more than $38 million to train and place new behavioral health professionals in underserved communities throughout the state.

Beginning in the fall of 2024, newly awarded Employer Support grants will provide resources to hire Certified Wellness Coaches and stipends to support Certified Wellness Coach interns.
