Our national group purchasing organization (Premier) contracts on our behalf with many diverse suppliers. That contract information is then published along with the suppliers diversity type.

How does your hospital support organizations that promote or certify minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises?
As a nonprofit Banner Health provides a tremendous amount of community benefit through its many services and it is in this spirit that their supply chain team has made it a priority to build and develop an even more robust diversity program in its strategic sourcing efforts. The supply chain team has developed a program that has engaged Executive Sponsorship and Chairman of the Board level of the organization allowing them to invest in this program and its resources. Under the leadership of Banner Health’s Supply Chain Services, the Supplier Diversity initiative is designed to provide all suppliers, including women and minority-owned, equal access to procurement and contracting opportunities within the organization. Supplier diversity and inclusion in the sourcing process ensures Banner Health maximizes its effort to seek the most talented, innovative, experienced and cost-competitive suppliers available. Doing business with diverse suppliers makes good business sense and supports economic growth in the local communities Banner Health serves. The quality and recognition of the Banner Health brand will increase as we implement the Supplier Diversity Program.
