Outreach and Communication
How does your hospital encourage and seek out minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers?
Northern Inyo Healthcare District (NIHD) recognizes the value of diversity in all things, including supplier diversity. However, NIHD is located in northern Inyo County, where we are often fortunate to find any vendor who will work with us in our remote location. We are a District facility, a critical access hospital, trying to keep the facility open to provide care for the members of our community. NIHD always evaluates proposals or bids/quotes for the best service or supply for each dollar. We are required to be responsible with the tax dollars and government funding we receive to provide the widest array of services we can in a responsible manner. We recognize certified diverse suppliers NMBE, WBE, SBE, LGBT Business Enterprise and VET.
