2. Goals and Timetables

Please describe your hospital's short-term goals and timetables, but not quotas, for increasing procurement from women, minority, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises

As the primary source of our supplier selections, continue to collaborate with our Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), Premier Inc., to encourage inclusion of more Diversity vendors in their bidding/contracting processes especially as it pertains to local contracting opportunities. Planning to add a link to our external website about supplier diversity and how we can be contacted in Supply Chain. Annual procurement staff awareness & education on AB 962.

Please describe your hospital's long-term goals and timetables, but not quotas, for increasing procurement from women, minority, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises

As describe above, we continuously work with Premier to encourage inclusion of more Diversity vendors in their bidding/contracting processes. This will be an ongoing process with them or any other GPO we may be partnered with. Maintain active relationships with certification bodies and local advocacy groups for referral and support, if needed.

3. Outreach and Communication

Please describe the methods in which the hospital encourages and seeks out both prime and subcontract suppliers from women, minority, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers

We work with Premier's Supplier Diversity Program to identify diverse suppliers already under contract and advocate for local diverse vendors to be added in future bids/contracting consideration. In addition, we encourage Premier prime vendors to engage certified diverse subcontractors and report their Tier II diverse spend accordingly.

4. Support and Supplier Resolutions

Please describe the methods in which your hospital supports, partners with, or interacts with organizations and other entities in the procurement ecosystem that promote, certify, or contract with women, minority, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises

As previously mentioned, through our Premier GPO relationship, we engage with their Supplier Diversity Program to access the network of contracted diverse suppliers. Advocate for the inclusion of local diverse vendors in GPO contracting and promote joint outreach events sponsored by Premier and its ecosystem partners. We would also collaborate with key certifying bodies for example, WBENC, NMSDC, NGLCC, NaVOBA, etc...

Please describe the methods in which your hospital resolves any issues that may limit or impede an enterprise from becoming a supplier

At Pipeline Health, we are committed to supplier diversity and actively work to eliminate barriers that may prevent diverse businesses from being approved suppliers. We heavily collaborate with our GPO partner, Premier Inc., to extend supplier access across both local and national channels.

5. Diversity Commission Recommendations and Planned Implementations

Please describe the past implementation of relevant recommendations made by the Hospital Supplier Diversity Commission

Added a tag line on procurement staff email signatures that notify vendors we support the California Supplier Diversity initiative and to contact us if they feel they could fall into that category for inclusion in future bids, business opportunities or referral to the Premier-GPO.
