Loma Linda University Health (LLUH) is a non-profit healthcare system dedicated to Innovating excellence in Christ-centered health care. At LLUH, our calling to justice through equity, inclusion, and diversity means providing opportunity and access to all qualified diverse suppliers in the sourcing and procurement process of our healthcare organization. These principles are critical to continuing the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ. Our aim is to foster a culture where each person in the LLUH community feels valued, supported, and empowered to achieve individual and collective goals.
2. Goals and Timetables

In the upcoming 12 - 18 months LLUH will continue to enhance engagement with diverse suppliers by participating in supplier diversity outreach events, networking with diversity organizations, local chambers of commerce, and utilizing the diverse supplier database for sourcing.

LLUH is committed to building a sustainable and inclusive procurement strategy that increases opportunities for diverse suppliers over the next 3 to 5 years. LLUH will continue to include diverse suppliers in our procurement process by soliciting Request For Quote (RFQ) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) during sourcing and contracting cycles.

LLUH is a member of Vizient, Inc. one of the largest group purchasing organizations in the country. Vizient supports programs that help maximize opportunity, cultivate collaboration and offer mentoring and enrichment for diverse suppliers. Vizient's Supplier Diversity Program helps members attain their purchasing, healthy community and economic development goals through a comprehensive portfolio of products and services, and program resources.

All suppliers are vetted through a thorough evaluation process before conducting business with LLUH. The Supply Chain Team has been instructed to inquire as part of the standard procurement process if the vendor is classified as a Diverse Supplier. Qualified Diverse Suppliers are encouraged to participate in submitting bids or proposals for products and services and are included in the RFQ/RFP processes. LLUH recognizes the strength supplier diversity provides for the communities we serve and places emphasis on procuring the best products and services with regard to quality, performance, and cost.

LLUH encourages diverse suppliers to contact the SCM Supplier Management team at scmsuppliermgmt@llu.edu to request a Diverse Supplier Form and be placed on an interest list for inclusion in future business. LLUH also works with Communities Lifting Communities, and Matchmaking events.
4. Support and Supplier Resolutions

LLUH submitted our list of diverse suppliers to Health Care Inclusive Procurement Network to help build the diverse supplier shared directory, and uses the California Hospitals portal https://clc.cahospitals.proveedor.biz/ to identify certified diverse suppliers for procurement opportunities.
Please describe the methods in which your hospital resolves any issues that may limit or impede an enterprise from becoming a supplier
LLUH is committed to ensuring equitable access to procurement opportunities for all suppliers and recognizes there may be barriers which could limit diverse suppliers from successfully participating in the procurement process. Diverse suppliers who are experiencing difficulties or have concerns may contact LLUH at scmsuppliermgmt@llu.edu to discuss the problems they are experiencing. LLUH is committed to work with the diverse supplier to overcome challenges they may be encountering where possible.
5. Diversity Commission Recommendations and Planned Implementations

LLUH engaged with organizations that work with diverse suppliers, such as Communities Lifting Communities, the California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the National Diversity Coalition. LLUH has an electronic version of our Diverse Supplier Interest Form on the lluh.org web site and we continue to engage in outreach opportunites to build our diverse supplier database.

LLUH is committed to continuing our efforts in strengthening business partnerships with all our current and prospective diverse suppliers. We will continue to engage with organizations which provide opportunities to network with diverse suppliers as we expand our diverse supplier base.
6. Procurement Process and Certification
Please describe your hospital's procurement process
LLUH in partnership with our GPO, Vizient, identify product catagories with expiring contracts, savings or standardization opportunities, and off contract spend. The catagory review includes identifying diverse suppliers who may be included in the Bid, RFQ or RFP process. Notifications are sent to the suppliers within the category. Those meeting the specifications of the Bid, RFQ, or RFP may be sent a request for samples if their product has not previously been used at LLUH. Products are evaluated for quality and safety. Bid, RFQ, or RFP invitations are sent to the qualifying suppliers. Suppliers not invited are advised of the determination. Contract negotiations are completed and contract is awarded. Suppliers are advised of the award and those not selected are provided explanation of the award to the competitor.
