Supplier Diversity Policy Statement

MPTF values the relationships we have with our diverse community. DEI is an important responsibility in everything we do. The MPTF Supplier Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program is designed to encourage the development of minority-owned, women owned, veteran-owned, LGBT-owned businesses, as well as, SBA-defined small businesses (“Diverse Suppliers”). Our commitment to this mission reinforces our values while visibly demonstrating our support for equal business opportunity.

Please describe the methods in which the hospital encourages and seeks out both prime and subcontract suppliers from women, minority, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers

In 2023, we continued to use Vizient's supplier connection online tool for our hospital supply needs which identifies certified diverse suppliers. We also continue to develop our new process to encourage suppliers to identify themselves as minority owned while setting up as new vendor in Lawson. This includes an online questionnaire matching the categories required for this report.

We have rolled out this initiative with our managers and are using the regular meeting platforms to encourage everyone engaging in contracting to seek out minority owned businesses based on our DEI vision.

In 2023, outreach to diverse business suppliers continues through the Vizient platform. We also have created a new web page to advertise our initiative and serve as a repository for our vendors to fill the diversity questionnaire used to complete this report. Visit us at: mptf.com/DEI
