Supplier Point of Contact

Outreach and Communication

How does your hospital encourage and seek out minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers?

In 2023, we continued to use Vizient's supplier connection online tool for our hospital supply needs which identifies certified diverse suppliers. We also continue to develop our new process to encourage suppliers to identify themselves as minority owned while setting up as new vendor in Lawson. This includes an online questionnaire matching the categories required for this report.

How does your hospital encourage its employees involved in procurement to seek out minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers?

We have rolled out this initiative with our managers and are using the regular meeting platforms to encourage everyone engaging in contracting to seek out minority owned businesses based on our DEI vision.

How does your hospital conduct outreach and communication to minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises?

In 2023, outreach to diverse business suppliers continues through the Vizient platform. We also have created a new web page to advertise our initiative and serve as a repository for our vendors to fill the diversity questionnaire used to complete this report. Visit us at: mptf.com/DEI
