In accordance with applicable federal requirements and California Assembly Bill 1392, VCMC shall maintain a transparent, data-driven procurement selection process. VCMC strives to ensure all sourcing decisions are based on best value, quality, service, regulatory compliance, and patient care considerations. County of Ventura adheres to Section 25500 of the Government Code of the State of California. VCMC/SPH shall comply with applicable federal subcontracting plan requirements and California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) hospital supplier diversity reporting obligations.

It is our intention to promote certification of Diverse suppliers. Many suppliers may not be aware of the certification process and it is our intention to help them become certified where applicable.

VCMC/SPH is part of the Health Care Agency, which is one of several agencies/departments of the County of Ventura. Ventura County General Services Agency Procurement Services purchases for the County (and designated special districts) materials, equipment, supplies, furnishings, and other personal property. In order to provide supplies, equipment, and services at the lowest possible cost, consistent with the quality needed for the efficient performance of County activities, higher-cost items are purchased through competitive solicitation.
