DEI Statement At Washington Health, we believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are foundational to our mission of delivering high‐quality healthcare solutions. Our supply chain operates within a complex and diverse ecosystem, and we are dedicated to ensuring that every voice is heard and valued. 1. Purpose To foster a diverse and inclusive supply chain by supporting the growth of underrepresented businesses. 2. Scope This policy applies to all procurement activities and vendor relationships within the organization. 3. Definitions Diverse Suppliers: Businesses that are at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by individuals from underrepresented groups, including but not limited to women, minorities, veterans, and LGBTQ+ individuals. 4. Commitment to Diversity The organization is committed to actively seeking diverse suppliers and ensuring equitable opportunities in the procurement process. 5. Objectives Increase the percentage of contracts awarded to diverse suppliers. Build long‐term partnerships with diverse businesses. Promote supplier development and capacity‐building initiatives 6. Vendor Selection Criteria Incorporate DEI criteria into vendor evaluation and selection processes. Assess suppliers on their commitment to DEI, including their workforce diversity and community engagement. 7. Supplier Development Programs Implement programs to support the growth of diverse suppliers through training, mentorship, and access to resources. 8. Reporting and Accountability Establish metrics to track the participation of diverse suppliers in the supply chain. Regularly report progress to stakeholders and make adjustments as needed. 9. Collaboration Partner with organizations that support diverse businesses to enhance outreach and opportunities. 10. Training and Awareness Provide DEI training for procurement teams to ensure understanding and commitment to diverse supplier engagement. 11. Compliance and Review Review the policy annually to assess effectiveness and make necessary revisions.

Washington Health has no current short term goals or timetables for increasing procurement from the above mentioned business enterprises. Supply Chain has entered into an agreement with Supplier Gateway to provide reporting and analysis of diversity spend.

Washington Health leverages our GPO partnership to source contracted vendors for medical and non-medical supplies and services. Our GPO Vizient has a strong diversity portfolio. Non GPO Vendor applicants are encouraged to identify themselves as diverse during the onboarding process by indicating diversity status on the Vendor Supplemental Information form.

6. Procurement Process and Certification
Please describe your hospital's procurement process
Potential suppliers are screened for sanctions as required by the state including OIG, SAM and Medical databases. Potential suppliers must submit a current signed W9 or international equivalent. Supplier terms and conditions must be cleared by hospitals legal council and terms must be accepted by Purchasing. Suppliers reps who are on campus must be registered in the hospital's third party vendor accreditation system, GHX. Washgton Health utilizes GPO contracts for medical and other supplies. When not applicable Washington Health uses a Value Analysis process for supplies and equipment. Services generally are sourced by requesting departments. Supply Chain will onboard vendors at department request.
