Our hospital is dedicated to enhancing procurement from women, minority, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises over the long term. We aim to implement Tier 2 Supplier programs by encouraging our primary (Tier 1) suppliers to subcontract a percentage of work to diverse California-based suppliers. While remaining inclusive, our hospital retains the authority to make business judgements during the supplier selection process that provides competitively priced goods and services. Additionally, we will review opportunities to divide large contracts by making them more accessible to local and diverse suppliers.
