1. Policy Statement

Supplier Diversity Policy Statement

NorthBay Health will maintain the same commitment to inclusion, diversity and equal opportunity in supplier selection, we apply to hiring and day-to-day operations. It’s a part of our corporate culture and it's who we are; not just something we do. This policy outlines our commitment to increase awareness internally and ensure certified California diverse suppliers can compete for NorthBay contracts when Vizient or CAPTIS contract requirements do not exist or are not in-place. This applies to all NorthBay Corporate Supply Chain/Procurement operations, and all NorthBay hospitals, clinics and facilities.

2. Supplier Point of Contact, Outreach and Communication

Supplier Point of Contact

Outreach and Communication

How does your hospital encourage and seek out minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers?

NorthBay is contractually obligated to Vizient Group Purchasing (GPO) and CAPTIS procurement contracts. We will monitor our diversity spend by subscribing to the Vizient Community Contracting, Diversity Spend Analysis program. Particular focus will be placed on Tier II spend of the major medical manufactures we must purchase from for patient care safety/quality and contractual requirements.

How does your hospital encourage its employees involved in procurement to seek out minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises to become potential suppliers?

It's standard work to ask all suppliers if they are registered as a diverse supplier and we include all diverse suppliers in local contracts whenever possible.

How does your hospital conduct outreach and communication to minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprises?

NB has a Diversity committee and utilizes our community outreach operations and foundation for suppliers.
